The International Project «Assistance to Medical Information» is celebrating its fifth anniversary
The «Medical Express» Journal is celebrating its twelfth anniversary
The «Medical Express» Journal with a circulation of over 120.000 copies was published and disseminated on a gratis basis among doctors in Central Asia in partnership with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and representatives of pharmaceutical laboratories:
Five thousand doctors in Uzbekistan and other countries in Central Asia acquired computer and Internet skills and access to the Internet on a gratis basis at Internet trainings organized in cooperation with UNDP and other partners.
As far as information communication in health care is concerned, cooperation is in place and underway with European Universities: Medical Department of Rennes University – 1, Information Communications Department of Rennes University – 2 in France (established in 2005 in partnership with the Embassy of France in Uzbekistan).
The website of the project «MedinfoCentralAsia» –
(www.medicalexpress.uz) has been recognized as the best website in Central Asia in the area of health care based on the results of the contest conducted by the «Central Asian Gateway» project in cooperation with UNDP (Kyrgyzstan 2006).
An action was organized to support the development of miniature painting in Uzbekistan.
Partnership for creation of thematic miniatures and publication on cover pages of the journal.
The publication of the first issue of the «Medical Express» Journal was organized along with an electronic version of the journal in a DVD-Video Collection with support from «Nycomed» Company and disseminated on a free-ofcharge basis among doctors in Central Asia in 2008.
An electronic catalogue of medical organizations in Central Asia – – has been set up and is constantly updated.
An action to plant a fruit orchard of 500 trees in a rural area in Uzbekistan was organized in support of the National Program for 2009 «The Year of Rural Development and Improvement» along with an Ecologic Movement in Uzbekistan with assistance from «Solvay Pharma» Company.
With the view of the tenth anniversary, the «Medical Express» Journal was awarded with a Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Association «Medical Express» – a public association that promotes information of health workers and the population on a timely basis about domestic and foreign news of medicine and health care – was established.
A publication of the «Medical Express» Journal was arranged in compliance with high international standards of quality along with the delivery of the journal issues to the countries in Central Asia in partnership with a Turkish company AVEA BASIM YAYIN SANAYI TICARET LTD. STI.
